City Hunter Series 1 Episode 20 “Her Ladyship Leaves the Mountain – One Long Day for Ryo”

None of Ryo’s clients lately have been beautiful ladies and thinks that something fishy is going on! Ryo checks the board at Shinjiku station and finds a client has left a message to meet him in the alley behind the station signed Gundayu Dannoura, another male client… No thanks! Kaori appears just in time to catch Ryo who tries to make a quick getaway, Kaori’s punishment for Ryo is to make him accept the job.

An old guy is chased down the alley ways by two shady men and traps him at a dead end. The men both pull out a pistol and points it to the old man. ‘Don’t make things hard on yourself, old man!’ . Then out of nowhere Ryo weaves the narrow alley in his red mini cooper narrowly missing the shady men, they try to attack Ryo but obviously are out of his league. Both men scamper away quickly!

The old guy is Gundayu, he proceeds to tell Ryo the reason he requires Ryo’s service. Kurokuma Valley is Japan’s last unexplored enclave and is under huge pressure from redevelopers to rebuild the area. Ryo’s real mission is to take Hana for a tour of the city and protect her from the men who are trying to drive the tribe out of Kurokuma Valley.
